What is kDemons Wiki

About kDemons

kDemons was created by a group of volunteer developers to provide developers with a one stop place where they can both share their knowledge and learn from others experiences.

kDemons ultimate goal is to collaboratively and voluntarly create a knowledge base for developers that will provide them with:

• Reference materials covering the wide spectrum of development fields.
• Tutorials, samples and how-tos on the various development topics.
• Developmental resources that are commonly used amongst developers such as structured, commonly used data lists.
• Tools and utilities that will ease the process of developing applications.
• A common infrastructure to collaboratively create open content and open source projects.

To achieve the goals above, the site consists of various “features”/parts each having a set of sub-goals that in all sums up to the site’s ultimate goal. The complex set of features comrising the site imposes a unique collaborative environment that is a hybrid of various previously existing ones.

All of kDemons contents are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license. In short, this means you can redistribute the contents for non commercial purposes as long as you share it alike using the same license or one that is compatible and attribute the source.

The site currently consists of three main parts:

• The Site’s blog, on which all the site’s news will be announced along with any new content. This part of the site is a WordPress instance installation.
• The Site’s Contents, all added to the site’s wiki
• The Site’s Forum is where developers can help each other, discuss and share experiences. The forum is mostly structured as a question/answer repository. The site is currently in the structuring phase and will be announced more properly when the initial work on the infrastructure is done.
